More About Alcoholism is my favorite Chapter.
Most of us were unwilling to admit we were real alcoholics.
:arrow: Ya I thought I was an alcoholic but not a real one, ya an alcoholic but not really like an :? alcoholic alcoholic.
Bodily different ... who me? :lol:
Yes I did the countless vain attempts to :ugeek: prove that I could drink like others.

could go on and on... I love the 1st 2 pages of the chapter.
It explains the insanity I had... have :)

The great obsession :roll: of every abnormal drinker is that maybe somehow, someday he/I will be able to control :oops: and enjoy his/my drinking.

I hear you.
I think the most important thing said in this chapter is.
We learned that we had to fully concede to our innermost selves that we were alcoholics.
This is the first step in recovery.

The delusion that we are like other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed
